J U D G M E N T

The petitioner approached this Court alleging that no action has been taken to cut and remove 100 year old futile tree standing in front of their house on the side of Aluva-Paravur road at Vadirama in Ernakulam district.

The petitioner submits that in the light of the Government order produced Ext.P2, this tree is liable to be cut and removed. The petitioner approached the District Collector, Ernakulam and the District Collector forwarded the request of the petitioner to the Revenue Divisional Officer. 3.

The Revenue Divisional Officer as per Ext.P5 directed the Assistant Engineer, PWD Road Section to take appropriate measures. The Assistant Engineer as per Ext.P6 reported that the tree causes danger to human life. In the light of above report, there shall be a direction to the RDO to finalize the proceedings
