JUDGMENT

The petitioner is the registered owner of a stage carriage bearing Registration No.KL-47/C-8055, a 2013 model vehicle with a seating capacity of 48 in all. On the route Kozhinjampara-Thrissur-Guruvayoor a regular permit had been issued to a stage carriage bearing Registration No.KL-08/S-8752. But, the registered owner and permit holder of the said vehicle had recently defaulted operation of the service and consequently the route has fallen vacant. On enquiry, it was revealed that the regular permit issued to the above vehicle is retained under suspended animation pending replacement of the vehicle. It was in the said backdrop that the petitioner filed Ext.P2 application for temporary permit on the above route to conduct substitute service in place of the defaulted route bus. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though

WP(C).36375/15 :2: more than a month has been elapsed since Ext.P2 application was filed, no decision has been taken on the said application.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

3. Having regard to the grievance of the petitioner projected in this writ petition and the submissions made at the Bar, the respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on Ext.P2, at the earliest, at any rate, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Sd/- K. HARILAL, JUDGE okb.
