JUDGMENT

The petitioner approached this Court for seeking a direction to the respondent to release the impounded Passport. In fact, the petitioner's Passport has been impounded as it found that the petitioner is involved in a criminal case. Therefore, this Court cannot interfere with such action taken by the respondent. However, if the petitioner obtains permission from the court, where the case is pending, the petitioner is free to approach the respondent with fresh application for issuance of Passport.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
