The petitioner, whose property has been attached in terms of the provisions of the Income Tax Act, has preferred an objection before the 1st respondent with a prayer to lift the attachment over the property. The limited prayer of the petitioner in the writ petition is for a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P6 objection expeditiously, after hearing the petitioner.
2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as also the learned standing counsel for the Income Tax department. On a consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made across the Bar, I dispose the writ petition with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P6 objection, filed by the petitioner, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after hearing the petitioner. Petitioner shall produce a copy of this writ petition along with the copy of this judgment, before the 1st respondent, for further action.
