J U D G M E N T

The petitioner seeks correction of father's name in the CBSE certificate. The certificate issued to the petitioner was in the year 2014.

In the light of facts and circumstances, this Court is of the view that the petitioner shall approach the school authorities at the first instance for correcting school records. Thereafter the school authorities shall forward the corrected records to the CBSE for correction. Accordingly the following directions are issued:

If the petitioner approaches the school authority to correction, the same shall be considered based on the documents relied by the petitioner within three weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this judgment. ii.

Thereafter the school authorities shall forward the corrected school records to the CBSE without any delay. iii.

The CBSE based on the corrected school records and on being satisfied with the genuineness of the claim of the

W.P.(C).No.39654 of 2015 petitioner shall correct the certificate within a further period of three months.

It is made clear that the petitioner's request shall be considered based on the pre-amended bye law. The writ petition is disposed of, as above.
