JUDGMENT

P.R. Ramachandra Menon, J.

This petition is filed by the petitioner seeking for a 'Writ of Habeas Corpus' commanding the second respondent to produce the body of the detenue before this Court and to set her at liberty. By order dated 21.11.2015, an interim order was passed. Today, when the case was taken up for hearing, a statement has been filed on behalf of the second respondent, which contains a statement of the detenue, recorded by a woman police officer, wherein the detenue has stated that she is not under the illegal custody of any one .

2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that in view of the mediation talks held between the mother of the petitioner and sisters of the detenue, viz. Respondents 4 and 5, the respondents 4 and 5 have already agreed to conduct marriage of the petitioner with the detenue. In that view of the

W.P.(Crl.)No.474 OF 2015 matter, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner does not want to prosecute the matter any further.
