Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

The Writ Petition involves a challenge to the cancellation of work order involving the Petitioner, vide Annexure-1. Issuing notice in the Writ Petition, a Coordinate Bench of this Court in disposal of Misc. Case No.438 of 2008 directed that the work in question would not be allotted to any other person till disposal of the Writ Petition. 3.

For the opinion of this Court, the Writ Petition of this nature should be attended to at the earliest. In the meantime, such Writ Petition has been kept pending for fourteen years. Today on appearance, Mr.Panda, learned Additional Government Advocate submitted that the Scheme, under which the work was required to be undertaken, has been closed since 2016. There is no possibility of allotment of the work involved under the Scheme available then any further.

In the circumstance, this Court finds, the Writ Petition becomes infructuous. As a consequence, this Court disposes of the matter which has gone infructuous.
