1. An affidavit has been filed on behalf of Opposite Party No.2 Order No.
stating inter alia that pursuant to the letter dated 4th January, 2019 by the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes ('NCST') the Land Allotment Committee held it meeting on 9th November, 2021 and took a decision allot the land in question to the Rourkela Steel Plant and Marshaling Yard Displaced persons Committee for the construction of SARNA Puja Sthal for religious activity. Counsel for the Petitioner also confirms this development.
2. However, an affidavit has been filed today on behalf of the Petitioner stating that NCST had asked that the land be handed over to the 'Sarna Samiti' for the purpose of construction of Sarna Puja Sthal for religious activity.
3. The Sarna Samiti is not party to this petition. In that view of the matter, the Court while not being inclined to issue any further directions in the matter, leaves it open to the Sarna Samiti to
approach the Government for any request that it may have in the matter. The Lease Case No.21 of 2020 initiated in regard to the above development be disposed of within a period of six months from today.
