This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

The present writ application has been filed seeking for a direction to the Opposite Parties to revise the pay of the deceased Madan Mohan Panda, Ex-Inspector in Banking and Accountancy of the Opposite Party No.3 under the ORSP Rule, 1989, 1998 and 2017 in the scale as applicable to the said deceased Madan Mohan Panda and to release the differential arrears within a stipulated time with interest at the rate of 7% per annum in favour of the petitioners. 3.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioners that the Petitioners have submitted a representation before the Director Higher Education, Odisha, Opposite Party No.2 on 26th August, 2021. Although several months have been elapsed in the meantime, no decision has been taken on such representation. 4.

Mr.Praharaj, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State submits that he has no objection if a direction is given to the Director,

Having heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and without entering into the merits of the matter, this Court disposes of the writ application with a direction to Opposite Party No.2, Director, Higher Education to consider the representation dated 26th August, 2021 if any, pending before him within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 6.

It is needless to mention here that the authority shall consider the representation of the Petitioners strictly in accordance with Rules and shall dispose of the representation by a speaking and reasoned order. The decision so taken shall be communicated to the Petitioners within a period of 10 days thereafter.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ application stands disposed of.
