1. The matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual /physical mode).

2. In view of the order dated 12.04.2009, passed in W.P.(C) No.6379 of 2008 (M/s. Vedanta Aluminium Ltd., vs. Union of India and others), the writ petition is allowed in the same terms and accordingly the amount deposited by the Petitioner will be allowed to be withdrawn subject to an undertaking to make the payment of the amount if the issue is decided against the Petitioner.
