None appears for the petitioner when the matter is called. 3.

This writ application has been filed in the year 2001 with a prayer for quashing Annexure-2, with further direction to the opp. party no.1 to pass an order for approval of the appointment of the petitioner in the post of Lecturer in Education with other consequential benefits.

Notice had been issued in the case on 01.05.2001 and 19.04.2002 the counter affidavit had been filed and the writ petition was admitted. Thereafter the matter has not been listed. 5.

Mr. S.S. Pradhan, learned Addl. Govt. Advocate submits that vide order dated 22.02.2001 (Annexure-2) the claim of the petitioner for approval of appointment and sanction of grant in aid has been rejected on the ground of financial crisis. So the relief may have been granted to the petitioner subsequently for which he has not pursued this writ application for twenty one years. 6.

Considering the fact, the matter is pending since twenty one years, no useful purpose will be served by adjourning the matter.

The writ petition is therefore disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to approach this Court, if any cause of action still survives.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
