Petitioner Mr. Satyajit Mohapatra, Advocate -versusPresiding Officer, Labour Court and Another ....
Opposite Parties None
CORAM:
THE CHIEF JUSTICE JUSTICE R.K. PATTANAIK Order No.
ORDER
28.02.2022 09.
1. This is a challenge by the Management to an Award dated 2nd February, 1999 passed by the Presiding Officer, Labour Court in I.D. Case No.56/97 directing reinstatement of the Opposite Party (Workman) within 30 days with back wages from 13th August 1995 till the date of his reinstatement.
2. While directing notice to issue, an interim order was passed that the Management should deposit 50% of the awarded amount within three weeks in the shape of a Bank Draft in this Court. Later, on 24th January, 2007 that interim order was vacated when it transpired that the Management had not deposited the amount as directed.
3. Having heard learned counsel for the Petitioner Management and considering that even the interim order passed by this Court has not been complied with and giving the long pendency of the
present petition where no effective relief has still date been granted to the Opposite Party Workman despite succeeding before the Labour Court, this Court is not inclined to interfere. The writ petition is accordingly, dismissed.
