Heard Mr. P.K. Nayak, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. P.P. Mohanty, learned Additional Government Advocate.

The petitioner has entered into agreement with the opposite parties to operate the quarry in question for a period of three years vide Annexure-3, which was executed on 09.08.2016. Before expiry of three years period, the petitioner applied for extension of time, which was allowed from 01.04.2020 to 09.08.2021 vide Annexure-7. But, due to some difficulties, the petitioner was not able to operate the quarry. The Tahasildar, Jharsuguda, vide letter dated 25.05.2021 under Annexure-10, intimated the Controlling Authorioty-cum-Collector, Jharsuguda

for clarification with regard to issuance of 'Y' form against the arrear dues deposit. It is contended that no response thereto has been received. In the meantime, the extended contract period has already over. Since the contract period is over, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition, as it has no jurisdiction to extend the contract period so that the petitioner can operate the quarry. However, if the petitioner is so aggrieved, he may approach the appropriate forum ventilating his grievances.

With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
