Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

Considering the nature of accusations and the fact that the victim has prima facie implicated the petitioner in her evidence before the court below, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore, rejected.

However, it is submitted that the petitioner is required to attend to his ailing mother and therefore, he may be released on interim bail at lease for some time.

Considering the submissions as above, the bail application is disposed of directing the court in seisin over the matter to release the petitioner on interim bail for a period of three months from the date of his actual release on such terms and conditions as he may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that the petitioner shall appear on each date of posting of the case before the court below.

BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
