Heard Mr. S.D. Routray, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. P.P. Mohanty, learned Addl. Govt. Advocate for the State.

The petitioner has approached the Orissa Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack claiming for reviewing of D.P.C. in the year 1996, which was rejected vide order dated 16.12.2011 in O.A. No. 3060(C) of 1996 under Annexure-8. Against the said order, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition on 03.02.2012 and in the meantime, the petitioner was retired from service for more than six years.

Therefore, after retirement of the petitioner, if this Court considered the matter and direct the opposite parties for reviewing of the DPC of the year 1996, after lapse of more than 30 years, it will cause prejudice to many of the people, who are parties to the selection pursuant to such

D.P.C. Thereby, by efflux of time, the writ petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous.
