This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

The limited grievance of the Petitioner in the present writ application is that the authorities are not sanctioning and releasing the family pension in her favour from 1st February, 2020 and other retiral benefits including gratuity payable to the deceased husband of the present petitioner.

Leaned counsel for the Petitioner draws the attention of this Court to Annexure-7 i.e. Form 12 wherein the Block Education Officer has recommended the case of late husband of the Petitioner for getting family pension and gratuity. It is specifically alleged that despite such recommendation the Opposite Party No.4, Controller of Accounts, Odisha, Bhubaneswar has not taken any action in the matter.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, this Court

// 2 // disposes of the writ application with a direction to Opposite Party No.4 to take immediate and prompt action on Annexure-7 and immediately process the claim and calculate the pensionary benefit and gratuity payable to the Petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. It is further directed that in the event, the Petitioner is entitled to such payment, the amount shall be disbursed within a period of four weeks thereafter.

With the aforesaid observation the writ application stands disposed of.
