CORAM:
THE CHIEF JUSTICE JUSTICE R.K. PATTANAIK
ORDER
09.02.2022 10.
1. During the pendency of the present petition, the District Press Order No.
Club, Sundargarh was provided with a double storied building within the campus of the Collectorate of Sundargarh. That building was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Governor of Odisha. Photographs covering the event have been enclosed as AnnexureX/8 series with the I.A.No.12215 of 2021 filed by the District Bar Association, Sundargarh which was opposing the allotment of land located opposite the Bar Association premises to the District Press Club, Sundargarh. In fact, the present petition was filed when the move to allot that land to the Petitioner was kept in abeyance in view of the objection raised by the Bar.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner, however, insists that the District Press Club has to be allotted a land in its own name for its use notwithstanding that it has been given a double storied building within the Collectorate. The Court is not
// 2 // impressed with such argument at all. The Court finds no reasons therefore to grant the prayer made in the present petition. The petition is accordingly dismissed.
3. An urgent certified copy of this order be issued as per rules. (Dr. S. Muralidhar) Chief Justice ( R.K. Pattanaik ) Judge S.K. Guin
