1. The letter of Superintendent of Police C.I.D., C.B., Odisha, Order No.
Cuttack, has been perused. The letter draws attention to the plight of one Shri Jagannath Oram a former constable residing at village Siabahali near Ganesh Nagar, Rengali, Sambalpur having sustained serious injuries owing to land mines allegedly laid by Maoists.
2. The Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Sambalpur is directed to immediately contact Shri Jagannath Oram, and enquire whether any legal assistance is required by him to pursue any claim with regard to financial assistance and if so to arrange for it without delay. The Secretary, DLSA, Sambalpur will also arrange to have an appropriate proceedings instituted, if it is found necessary to do so.
3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
