1. The question raised in the present petition is whether the Petitioner should be asked to pay rent from the date of sanction of lease which is four years earlier that the date of the lease deed. Given that the annual rent in terms of the lease deed 30th May, 2008 is only Rs.6,396/-, the total amount involved works out to around Rs.25,000/- which is not substantial at all. Therefore, leaving the question of law open the Court declines to interfere. The interim order passed earlier stands vacated. The amounts states to have been kept in separate account by the Petitioner now be made over by it to the State Government forthwith.
