Heard Mr. P.K. Rath, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A.R. Dash, learned Additional Government Advocate for the State.

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with a prayer to accept the ID cost of the land as indicated the letter No. 12403/CA LD/3-(A/L)-298/93 dated 26.04.2014 under Annexure-4 and for execution and registration of the sale deed in her favour.

However, Mr. Rath submits that during pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner has made a fresh offer by filing a representation enclosed to the memo with affidavit dated 29.03.2019 which was sent to the Special Secretary, General Administration Department of State (opposite party no.1) by registered post dated 09.02.2019 making it clear that the petitioner is ready to pay I.D. cost as per law at the prevailing

// 2 // market rent. According to him, there has been no response to such representation of the petitioner till date. Accordingly, he prays that a direction be issued to the Special Secretary, General Administration Department, Government of Odisha, Bhubaneswar to take a decision on the above noted representation within a specific time period. 4.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Special Secretary, General Administration Department of State to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 6.

Interim order, if any stands vacated.

7.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
