Heard Mr. S.K. Swain, learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.

The petitioner had challenged the selection of the year 1993 to the post of Sergeants by approaching the Orissa Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack in 2001 vide O.A. No.3712(C) of 2001, which was disposed of on 22.03.2012 rejecting the claim of the petitioner. In the meantime, 10 years have elapsed and the petitioner has already attained the age of 57 years, therefore, it will be futile in the event this case is heard at this stage.

In view of the above position, the writ petition stands disposed of.
