This matter is taken up through Videoconferencing Mode. 2.

Heard Mr. Das, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. Samal, learned Additional Government Advocate. 3.

According to Mr. Das, the Petitioner is aggrieved by inaction of the authorities, more particularly Opposite Party No.4-Tahasildar, Baripada in taking a decision on an application filed by him for settlement of land in Form-1 under the Odisha Government Land Settlement Act, 1962 on 17th November, 2021. In such back ground, he prays that a direction may be issued to the said Opposite Party to take a decision on the above noted application within a specific time period.

Considering such submission and without expressing any opinion on the merit of the case, this Court directs Opposite Party No.4-Tahasildar, Baripada to take a decision on the above noted application in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order

// 2 // and communicate the result of such exercise to the Petitioner. 5.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Issue urgent certified copy of the order on proper application.
