1. This matter is taken up through Video Conferencing mode.
2. Heard Mr. P.P. Mohanty, learned Additional Government Advocate for the petitioner; Mr. Bimbisar Dash, learned Central Government Counsel for opposite party no.1; and Mr. Naveen Kumar, along with Mr. Sudarsan Nanda, learned counsels for opposite party no.2.
3. Mr. P.P. Mohanty, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the petitioner produces a letter dated 23.12.2017 issued by the Joint Secretary to Government of Odisha, Department of Steel and Mines addressed to the learned Advocate General, Odisha, Cuttack mentioning therein that W.P.(C) No.10720 of 2014 and five other identical cases filed by the State of Odisha have rendered infructuous, as per the
// 2 // order of the apex Court in W.P.(C) No.114 of 2014 disposed of on 22.11.2017.
4. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous in view of the aforementioned order of the apex Court.
5. Interim order passed earlier stands vacated.
6. As the restrictions due to resurgence of Covid-19 are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the Advocate concerned with his/her seal, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587 dated 25th March, 2020 and Court's Office Order dated 7th January, 2022.
