This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement Order No.

(Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing for the State-Opposite Parties.

This writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner seeking a direction to the Opposite Party No.4-Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Puri to correct the Admission Register in respect of his minor daughter, namely, Swetalina, by taking into consideration the revised birth certificate dated 17.08.2021 issued by the Registrar, Birth and Death-cum-Health Officer, Puri Municipality and, accordingly, School Admission Register be corrected on that basis. 4.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that Petitioner had earlier approached this Court in W.P.(C) No.34447 of 2021 and in view of submission made by the learned counsel for the

// 2 // Petitioner in the said writ petition, he was permitted to withdraw the said writ petition to approach to the Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Puri for redressal of his grievance. It is further submitted that after withdrawal of the aforesaid writ petition, the Petitioner approached the Opposite Party No.4-Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Puri by filing a representation dated 06.12.2021 along with copies of supporting documents. It is further submitted that although it is going to be one year since the date of representation was filed before the Opposite Party No.4, no decision/action has been taken on the same as of now. It is further submitted that it would be sufficed if this Court directs the Opposite Party No.4 to consider the representation of the Petitioner in accordance with law within a stipulated period of time.

Considering such submission, this Court thinks its proper to dispose of the writ petition at the stage of admission by directing the Opposite Party No.4 to consider the representation of the Petitioner dated 06.12.2021 under Annexure-17 to the writ petition in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. It is needless to mention here that the representation of the Petitioner shall be considered and disposed of by passing a speaking and reasoned order. Any decision so taken on the said representation shall be communicated to the Petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter. 6.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
