Heard Mr. J.M. Pattanaik, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel and Mr. S.K. Mishra, learned counsel appearing for opposite party No.4.

According to Mr. Pattanaik, the petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the authorities more particularly, opposite party No.4 in releasing the outstanding dues against the supply of rice made to the Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. (opposite party No.4). He further submits that though highlighting all its grievances, the petitioner has approached the Managing Director, Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. (opposite party No.4) on 26.12.2021 by filing a detailed representation under Annexure-5 but till date nothing has been

// 2 // done in the matter. In such background, he prays that that a direction be issued to opposite party No.4 to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Collector and Managing Director, Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. (opposite party No.4) to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner under Annexure-5 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 6.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
