Heard Mr. B. Bhuyan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A.K. Nanda, learned Additional Government Advocate. 2.
According to Mr. Bhuyan, though in tune with the order dated 08.09.2021 passed by this Court in W.P.(C) No.27478 of 2021, the petitioner has given vacant possession of the land however, till date proper compensation has not been paid to him. According to him, though the petitioner is entitled to a compensation of much higher amount, however only a paltry amount of Rs.9,44,738/- has been paid to him through cheque bearing No.001686 dated 07.09.2021. He further submits that though the petitioner has moved the Collector, Cuttack (opposite party No.3) on 24.10.2021 by filing a representation under Annexure-4 sent through speed post on 25.10.2021 for making reference under Section 64 of the Right to Fair Compensation & Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013 however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that that a
// 2 // direction be issued to the Collector, Cuttack to take a decision on the above noted representation within a specific time period. 3.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Collector, Cuttack (opposite party No.3) to take a decision on the above noted representation of the petitioner under Annexure-4 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 5.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application in course of the day.
