This writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner seeking a direction to the Opposite Party No.1 to release his vehicle bearing Registration No.OR-05-J-4339 (Truck) seized on 2nd October, 2007 by the Opposite Party No.3 and to pay compensation for the loss caused to him. 3.

No one appears on behalf of the Petitioner at the time of call. However, Mr. Pravakar Behera, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Opposite Party No.2-Transport Department as well as learned counsel for the State-Opposite Party No.4 are present. 4.

The case is of the year 2007.

As such, this Court is of the view that the Petitioner is a recalcitrant litigant and does not want to proceed with the matter. 6.
