Heard Mr.S.C.Puspalaka, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.K.Nanda, learned Addl.
Government Advocate.

According to Mr.Puspalaka the grievance of the petitioner relates to inaction of the authorities in settling a piece of land in her favour though she is a landless person though she is entitled to such benefits under the Orissa Government Land Settlement Act, 1962.

During course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits liberty may be granted to the petitioner to file proper application before the Tahasildar, Bhubaneswar (opposite party No.4) and further prays that a direction may be issued to the said opposite party to take a decision of her application within a specific time period.

Considering such submissions and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file proper application before opposite party No.4 along with a copy of this order within a period of two weeks
// 2 // hence. In the event, such application is received by the opposite party No.4, he/she is directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of six months there from and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 6.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 7.
Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
