Heard Mr.S.K.Subudhi, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.P.Rout, learned Addl. Government Advocate.

According to Mr.Subudhi the petitioners are aggrieved by inaction of the authorities in extending them the benefits of Rehabilitation and Resettlement though they have lost their lands on account of construction of Rengali Irrigation project, Samal in the district of Angul. He further submits that the above noted benefits have not been extended to them though they have received the compensation.

During course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners submits liberty may be granted to the petitioners to file representations before the Collector & District Magistrate, Angul (opposite party No.2) for redressal of their grievances and further prays that a direction may be issued to the said opposite party to take a decision on such representations within a specific time

Considering such submissions and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioners to file representations before opposite party No.2 along with a copy of this order by registered post within a period of two weeks hence. In the event, such representations are received by the opposite party No.2, he/she is directed to dispose of the said representations in accordance with law within a period of three months from the dates of receipt and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioners. 5.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 6.

Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
