Deepak Kumar Dehuri v. State Of Odisha
IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK
BLAPL No. 357 of 2022 Deepak Kumar Dehuri ....
Petitioner Mr. J.K. Behera, Advocate - Versus - State of Odisha ....
Opposite Party Mr. P. Tripathy, Addl. Standing Counsel Mr. A.N. Samantray, Advocate
CORAM:
JUSTICE SASHIKANTA MISHRA
ORDER
27.04.2022 1.
This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
Order No.
3.
2.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.
3.
This is a case of patricide. It is alleged that the petitioner, who is the son of the deceased, engaged in a quarrel and in course of the same committed the murder of his father. The postmortem report clearly reveals that the deceased sustained several injuries including the stab wound and also incise wound on his neck. 4.
Considering the above materials, a strong prima facie case is made out against the petitioner and as such, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore rejected. It is however, directed that the Court below shall expedite the trial if there is no other impediment.
5.
BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
