None appears for the Petitioner at the time of call. 3.

Petitioner in this writ petition seeks to assail the letter dated 8th January, 2022 (Annexure-4) issued by Additional Tahasildar, Bhubaneswar holding the Petitioner liable to pay the royalty and fine for release of his vehicle bearing registration No.WB-65-B-1492, which was seized being loaded with sand and was being plied without any transit pass (Y-form). 4.

Mr. Pattanaik, learned AGA referring to paragraph-10 of the counter affidavit filed by Additional Tahasildar, Bhubaneswar submits that the offence has already been compounded on 21st January, 2022. For ready reference, paragraph-10 of the counter affidavit is quoted below:- "10.

That it is humbly submitted that, on 21.1.2022, the petitioner approached the Tahasildar, Bhubaneswar to compound the offence and release the said seized vehicle. Thereafter, the deponent imposed a fine of Rs.1,00,500/- including rs.500/- towards Royalty. The petition on being agreed, paid the said amount vide MR No.AAA5320128 dated 21.01.2022 and thereafter the seized vehicle was released and handed over to the petitioner."

In view of the above, nothing remains to be adjudicated in the writ petition. Accordingly, the same stands disposed of as infructuous.
