Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

This matter is taken up for fresh admission. The Writ Petition involves a challenge to the order of the Sub-Collector & Revenue Officer, Sadar, Sambalpur undertaking an exercise under Section 22 of the OLR Act. The Application for permission involved therein was rejected on 22.6.2012 on the ground that the cause for sale of the land was not specific.

First of all, looking to the ground of rejection, this Court finds, the Petitioner had definite scope to come up with better application. Secondly, the order involved was passed in June, 2012 but the Writ Petition filed almost after nine years is also grossly barred by limitation.

However, even though the Writ Petition stands dismissed, for the Petitioner having a scope to file better application and in the event the Petitioner is still interested in seeking permission, it may be open to the Petitioner to file appropriate application for consideration of the Competent Authority.
