This matter is taken up by video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Mr.M.K.Panda, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.K.Samal, learned Addl. Government Advocate for the State.

According to Mr.Panda though the name of the petitioner has been reflected in the ration card bearing No. 02020910656 under Annexure-2 series however without any rhyme and reason the supply of P.D.S. commodities have been stopped to him.

During course of hearing Mr.Panda submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to approach the Civil Supply Officer, Balasore (opposite party No.3) by filing a grievance petition for redressal of his grievances and further prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the same within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to approach the opposite party No.3 by filing a grievance petition through registered post along

// 2 // with copy of this order within a period of two weeks hence and in the event such a grievance petition is filed the Civil Supply Officer, Balasore (opposite party No.3) is directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of such grievance petition and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 6.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 7.

Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
