The land acquired is recorded in the name of grandfather of the petitioners. The petitioners are therefore shown as beneficiaries under the Resettlement and Rehabilitation Policy to get the compensation, being the heirs of their late grandfather. Subsequently however their names were deleted from the beneficiary lists on the ground that they are married. In this regard, the petitioners are stated to have filed a representation vide Annexure-4 before the Collector, Sundargarh (Opposite Party No.2), which is stated to be still pending.

Regard being heard to the facts and submissions and the nature of relief sought for, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Collector, Sundargarh (Opposite Party No.2) to
dispose of the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law, taking into consideration the rights of the daughters who are married, to inherit the properties of their father. 5.
The entire exercise be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 6.
The petitioners are directed to supply a copy of the writ petition containing all the annexures along with certified copy of this order to Opposite Party No.2 for convenience and reference to Annexure-4.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 8.
As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned advocate, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587, dated 25th March, 2020, modified by Notice No.4798, dated 15th April, 2021, and Court's Office Order circulated vide Memo Nos. 514 and 515 dated 7th January,2022.
