1.

This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Mr. K.C. Dash, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. S.K. Samal, learned Additional Government Advocate. 3.

According to Mr. Dash, the petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that though during course of acquisition of land for setting up an industry, the lands surrounding the lands of the petitioners were acquired but in spite of their requests, their lands have not been acquired. In such background, they have been greatly prejudiced. In this context, he relied on the enquiry report under Annexure-2 sent by the Land Acquisition Officer, Angul to the Deputy Collector, Angul. Though highlighting all their grievances, the petitioners have approached the Collector, Angul (opposite party No.3) on 22.11.2021 by filing grievance petitions under Annexure-4 series however, till date no decision has been taken on such grievance petitions. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the Collector, Angul to take decision on the above noted grievance petitions of

// 2 // the petitioners within a specific time period. 5.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioners, this Court directs the Collector, Angul (opposite party No.3) to dispose of the above noted grievance petitions of the petitioners under Annexure-4 series in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned.

6.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 7.
