1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

The present writ application has been filed by the Petitioner seeking correction of the name of the mother of the Petitioner as indicated in the H.S.C. Certificate issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that the Headmaster of the concerned School has written on several occasions for correction of the name of the mother of the Petitioner, which has been inadvertently mentioned wrongly.

Mr.Rao, learned counsel appearing for the Board of Secondary Education after going through the writ application submits that the Regulation of the Board does not permit for correction of the name. 5.
Having heard learned counsel for the Parties, this Court disposes of the writ application with a direction to the Petitioner to
// 2 // file a fresh representation along with supporting documents within a period of two weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. In the event the representation is filed within the aforesaid period, the same shall be considered and disposed of in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks by passing a speaking and reasoned order..

The decision so taken on the representation of the Petitioner be communicated to the Petitioner within 10 days thereafter. 7.
With the aforesaid observation, the writ application stands disposed of.
