It is stated that during pendency of the writ petition, the opposite party has retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. Therefore, by efflux of time, the writ petition has become infructuous.

In view of the above submission, the writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous.

Interim order dated 08.01.2018 passed in Misc. Case No. 1668 of 2014 stands vacated.
