The prayer in the Writ Petition relates to nomination of one Mr. B.B. Mohanty, Additional Secretary to Government, Energy Department as Director in the Board of Three Distribution Companies.

In terms of the notification of the Department of Energy dated 10.08.2009 at Annexure-6 and the consequential notification by the GRIDCO dated 01.09.2009 at Annexure-7.

On perusal of the pleadings, this Court is of the considered opinion that the Writ Petition has been rendered infructuous with efflux of time.
