The petitioner while serving as a Panchayat Order No.
Samiti Member of Mulabasanta Gram Panchayat under Mahanga Block, Cuttack had filed a PIL bearing W.P.(C) (PIL) No.11583 of 2013 seeking a direction to the authorities to conduct a detailed enquiry and take legal action based on the report of the Ombudsman against the five Government officials for preparation of false Muster Rolls and forging the signatures of the job seekers.
The said writ petition was disposed of vide order dated 22.11.2013 passed by this Court directing the Government to conduct a detailed enquiry and take appropriate action.

Since the needful was not done within the stipulated time of three months, the present contempt was filed.

At the time of hearing, none has appeared for the petitioner while Mr. P.K. Mohanty states that after a detailed enquiry, the Government has passed an order on 18.09.2020 finding the allegations to be baseless and rejecting the representation. Thus, he submits that the present contempt has been rendered infructuous. 4.
In view of the above, the CONTC is dismissed as infructuous.
