This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

In compliance of the order dated 20.06.2022, Mr. K.C. Kar, learned Senior Panel, Central Government Counsel produced the letter dated 23.05.2018 issued by Superintendent of Post Offices, Balangir Division, Balangir addressed to the former Asst. Solicitor General of India, wherein it has been stated as follows:- "That it is pertinent to mention here that the regular selection has been made in respect of the vacant post of GDS Tarbha S.O. vide Inspector of Posts, Sonepur Sub Division, Sonepur Notification No.PF/Tarbha MC/Tarbha S.O. dated 16.02.2012 and the applicant Shri B.B. Mishra had also applied for the said vacant post with regard to the said notification dated 16.02.2012 but his candidature did not come within the panel of selection. Therefore, the post was filled up on 14.06.2012 by the selected candidate i.e. one Shri Pramod Kishore Kumbhar who is continuing this day in the said post.

Furthermore, it is to intimate that another O.A. No. 679/2012 has been filed by the same applicant i.e. Shri B.B. Mishra, the applicant of the O.A. No. 261/2011 before the Hon'ble CAT, Cuttack before the disposal of this writ petition with a pray to reinstate him as GDSMC of Tarbha S.O. and to pay him the allowance from May 2011 to till his appointment or regular appointment. A copy of the said O.A. is sent enclosed herewith for your kind reference."

In terms of the aforesaid instructions, the writ petition stands disposed of.

The letter dated 23.05.2018 produced in Court today be kept on record.
