This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.

The Petitioner while working as Progress Assistant (PA) in the establishment of Block Development Officer, Thakurmunda, Mayurbhanj, retired on 30.06.2018. It appears, the pension, pensionary benefits and arrears pension has not been released. As such, the petitioner has come to this Court challenging the inaction of the Opposite Parties in not granting such benefits. 4.

In view of the limited grievance of the Petitioner, this Court disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the Opposite Parties to release the pension, pensionary benefits and arrears pension in favour of the Petitioner within a period of two months from the date of communication of an authenticated copy of this order by the petitioner, failing which, the persons responsible for delay in releasing the pension, pensionary benefits and arrears pension in favour of the Petitioner shall be liable to pay interest @ 18% per annum, if there is no legal impediment.

It is the responsibility of the Petitioner to serve an authenticated copy of this order on the Competent Authority within a period of ten days, as undertaken.

As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a print out of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned advocate, in the manner prescribed, vide Court's Notice No.4587 dated 25th March, 2020, as modified by Court's Notice No. 4798 dated 15th April, 2021, and Court's Office Order circulated vide Memo Nos.514 and 515 dated 7th January, 2022.
