Undisputedly the proceeding vide Encroachment Case No.31/96-97 has been finally disposed of. There is clear admission that there is no attempt for settlement of the disputed land in question during pendency of the eviction proceeding. Attempt for settlement of the land at this stage is clearly prohibited under the provision of Section 8-A of the O.P.L.E Act. This Court finds difficulty in entertaining the writ petition at this stage. 2.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
