This matter is taken up through Video Conferencing Mode.

Heard Mr. R.D. Mohapatra, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel.

According to Mr. Mohapatra, when the complaint of the petitioner was not registered as F.I.R., he approached this Court by filing CRLMP No.997 of 2020. Pursuant to the direction of this Court, when nothing was done, the petitioner has filed contempt petition styled as CONTR No.15 of 2021 and finally, Kendrapara P.S. Case No.51 dated 25.3.2021 was registered under Annexure-6. He further submits that despite such registration, no steps are being taken to investigate the matter.

Mr. Mohanty submits that for such grievances instead of rushing to this Court, the petitioner should have approached the Superintendent of Police, Kendrapara (opposite party no.3). In such background, Mr. Mohapatra submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to approach the

// 2 // Superintendent of Police, Kendrapara (opposite party no.3) for redressal of her grievances and further prays that the said opposite party be directed to take a decision on such motion within a stipulated time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Police, Kendrapara (opposite party no.3) by filing a grievance petition along with a certified copy of this order through Registered Post within a period of two weeks. In the event such grievance petition is filed before opposite party no.3, the said opposite party is directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of such grievance petition and communicate the results of such exercise to the petitioner.

The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.
