Heard Mr. R.K. Panda, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 3.

According to Mr. Chaini, the petitioner is aggrieved by non-registration of his complaint F.I.R., i.e., Bolagarh P.S. Case No.10 dated 9.1.2022 under appropriate provisions of law. According to him, such F.I.R. should also have been registered under Sections 325/326/307, I.P.C. in the facts and circumstances of the case. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances, the petitioner has approached the Superintendent of Police, Khurda (opposite party no.2) on 17.1.2022 under Annexure-2 by filing a detailed grievance petition through Registered Post, but till date no action has been taken on the same. In such background, he prays that necessary direction be given to the opposite party no.2 to take a decision on the said grievance petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without

// 2 // expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Khurda (opposite party no.2) to take a decision on the grievance petition dated 17.1.2022 under Annexure-2 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.
