This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the Opposite Parties.

It is claimed that apart from the compensation awarded by the Collector for acquisition of the land owned by the Petitioner for executing the Lower Indira Irrigation Project, Khariar in the district of Nuapada, the claim for the additional benefits/compensation under the R & R Policy, 2006 have not been released till now in spite of the positive directions passed by this Court on 3rd February, 2021 in W.P.(C) No.3601 of 2021.

4. Mr. L. Samantaray, learned Additional Government Advocate for Contemnors/Opposite Parties upon instructions states that the individual cases of the Petitioners for determination and disbursement of the amounts of the compensation is under process and the due amounts as per the

// 2 // entitlement shall positively be disbursed to the Petitioner by the end of November, 2022.

In view of the stand of the Contemnors/Opposite Parties made through the learned counsel for the State, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that he has no objection, if the contempt is disposed of at this stage. He, however, prays for liberty to revive the Contempt Petition by making application, in case the payment is not released, as stated by the learned Additional Government Advocate for the Contemnors/Opposite Parties.

6. In view of the above, the Contempt Petition is disposed of as infructuous with the liberty as aforesaid. Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
