ORDER

27.01.2022 01.

1. This matter is taken up by video conferencing mode.

2. The limited prayer of the Petitioner at this stage is that adequate police protection should be given to tackle with the law and order situation arising out of the operation of her IMFL OFF shop, particularly since the remaining licence period is only till May, 2022.

3. Learned Additional Government Advocate for the State, Mr. Debakanta Mohanty, states that if any direction in this regard is issued to the police, it will be complied with in letter and spirit.

4. Accordingly, a direction is issued to the Superintendent of Police, Kendrapara (Opposite Party No.5) as well as the Inspector In-charge, Pattamundai Police Station, Kendrapara (Opposite Party No.6) to assess the security requirement to address the

above issue and provide it to the Petitioner's shop without unnecessary delay and in any event, on or before 1st February, 2022.

5. The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.

6. Mr. Mohanty, learned Additional Government Advocate will communicate today's order to Opposite Parties 5 and 6 forthwith.

7. As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned advocate, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587, dated 25th March, 2020, modified by Notice No.4798, dated 15th April, 2021, and Court's Office Order circulated vide Memo Nos. No.514 and 515 dated 7th January, 2022.
