Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 07.07.2022 in connection with Barpali P.S. Case No. 199 of 2020 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 194 of 2020 pending in the court of learned Addl. District and Sessions Judge, Bargarh for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 498-A/506/304-B/406/306/34 of IPC read with Section 4 of D.P. Act.

The petitioner is the husband of the deceased who is said to have committed suicide after being subjected to cruelty in connection with demand for dowry. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mother of the petitioner being an old lady is presently seriously ill and there is no one in the house to

look after her. While not being inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner, the bail application is disposed of with a direction to learned court below to release the petitioner on interim bail for a period of three months.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
