1. This matter is taken up through virtual mode.
2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.
3. The Petitioners are in custody since 27th October, 2021 in connection with CDA-II P.S. Case No.63/2021 corresponding to Special G.R. Case No.102/2021 pending in the court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge-cum-Special Court under POCSO Act, Cuttack for the alleged commission of the offence under Sections 292(2)(a)/354-A/354-D/294/506 of I.P.C. read
// 2 // with Section 12 of POCSO Act and Sections 66(E) /67(b) of I.T. (Amendment) Act.
4. Considering the nature of accusations and the existence of materials prima facie in support thereof, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore rejected.
5. Learned court below is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as early as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order. Learned court below shall also take steps to examine the victim at the first instance.
