Heard Mr. B.S. Rayaguru, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel.

According to Mr. Rayaguru, the petitioners are aggrieved by the action of the authorities more particularly, opposite party No.4 namely, Block Development Officer, Badamba in depriving the petitioners from availing the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) though their names found place in the initial list of eligible beneficiaries prepared for Koleswar Grama Panchayat under Annexure-3. Since in the final list of eligible beneficiaries under Annexure-4 their names are not there and since it includes names of many persons whose names were not there in the initial eligible list, the petitioners have been greatly prejudiced. He also submits that in the final list many persons have extended the benefits of the Yojana though they are not at all eligible to get such benefits.

During course of hearing, he submits that though highlighting their grievances, the petitioners have filed two individual grievance petitions dated 30.11.2021 with the Block Development Officer, Badamba (opposite party No.4) under Annexure-5 series which was went through registered post on 01.12.2021 however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the said opposite party to take a decision on the above noted grievance petitions within a specific time period. 5.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Block Development Officer, Badamba (opposite party No.4) to take decision on the above noted grievance petitions of the petitioners under Annexure-5 series in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as well as the persons against whom allegations have been made.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. 7.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
