This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

None appears for the petitioner when the matter is called out. 3.

Mr. J.P. Pattnaik, learned counsel appearing for the Opp. Party (the State) has produced a written instruction of IIC, Erasama police station.

It appears from the said written instruction that the victim minor girl whose name we withhold for protecting her identity, has been rescued on 14.02.2014 from the captivity of the accused namely, Kedar Swain.

It has been also indicated that ransom was demanded by the accused person. The accused had also been arrested on 14.02.2014. The statement of the victim was recorded by the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Kujanga on 15.02.2014 and thereafter her custody had been restored to her parents.

It is really unfortunate that the rescue was caused on 14.02.2014 and the custody was restored on 17.12.2014, but the petitioner has not informed this Court about this development. 7.

Be that as it may, in view of the above revelation, as recorded the instruction dated 18.02.2014, this petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
